Second Birthday Google Chrome | New Browser Chrome 6 Launched | Google Chrome Birthday Celebration

Google has officially rolled out Chrome 6 as the latest stable version of the browser today. This shouldn’t come as a surprise to anyone using the dev or beta builds of the browser, but it’s nonetheless an important mark as it means it’s stable enough for mass consumption.

Chrome 6 has been in beta for sometime, boasting some new features such as extensive cloud computing support. Users will literary be able to save their Chrome profile onto the cloud servers which will sync with any computer you log into.According to Computer World, Google has been keen in making sure that Chrome is the fastest browser on the market. Reportedly, Chrome 6 is three times faster at parsing JavaScript then the original version launched.

Google says that Chrome today is a full three times faster when it comes to JavaScript performance versus Chrome circa 2008. The rapid speed increases have also undoubtedly pushed rival browsers to become faster, so we’ve all benefited.Google has also elected to consolidate the pair of Chrome menus into a single one and has also relocated the button locations, modified the color scheme and has also made minor adjustments to the Omnibox/URL field.
