Erica Blasberg:Death LPGA golfer Erica Blasberg in almost 4 months ago, suicide was excluded.Native ofSouthern California died of asphyxia, coupled with the presence of toxic levels of prescription drugs – including prescription headache, cough, pain and anti-anxiety drugs – in her system, the coroner’s office in Clark County, Nevada, said Tuesday.

LAS VEGAS: The Clark County coroner’s office ruled Tuesday that 25-year-old professional golfer Erica Blasberg’s death was a suicide.Blasberg died May 9 at her home in Henderson, about 15 miles southeast of the Las Vegas Strip. She was found with a plastic bag secured over her head.

A suicide note was given by Blasberg, so the combination of that and the drugs led the Police Department to rule out any foul play in the incident.  The case isn’t entirely closed though, as the authorities still want to talk further with Dr. Thomas Hess, who had something to do with the prescriptions that Blasberg had in her possession.
