Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) is an all India examination administered and conducted jointly by the Indian Institute of Science and seven Indian Institutes of Technology on behalf of the National Coordination Board – GATE, Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India. The Gate Committee has announced Gate 2011 Notification. According to the Gate 2011 official notification the Application Forms and Syllabus has been issued and candidates can download the applications forms from online with by paying the online application fee of Rs. 800/- for General/OBC candidates and Rs. 400/- for SC/ST/PD (Persons with Disability) and candidates can purchase the printed application forms for Rs. 1,000/- for General/OBC candidates and Rs. 500/- for SC/ST/PD (Persons with Disability)
Most of the things are same as GATE 2010 except few online exams are added. I will update it after reviewing the application form completely.
Mode application and fee:
The applications can be submitted both online and offline but online application is preferred. The fee details are as follows.
Online application:Rs. 800/- for General/OBC candidates and Rs. 400/- for SC/ST/PD (Persons with Disability)
Offline application: Rs. 1,000/- for General/OBC candidates and Rs. 500/- for SC/ST/PD (Persons with Disability)
