It’s difficult to label someone as multi-talented as who is a magician, an engineer, professor and also a mind trainer! Currently, she is busy in conducting a magic trick course under the aegis of the Mumbai University

who is in her twenties, started out as a child magician and achieved a lot of fame and success. It was her desire to take magic tricks to the masses especially to the little kids that encouraged Kruti to teach magic. “As a kid, I had to undergo a lot of hardship to learn the tricks since there were no proper classes for it and none of the magicians were willing to teach. Due to this, not many people take it up as a profession and it’s often considered as a ‘madari ka khel’," says Kruti. She adds, “People always get suspicious about magic and magicians and forget that magic is the king of all art forms and magicians embed all art forms into one.”
Kruti, who is an expert in tricks and illusions like swallowing fire, sleeping on a bed of arrows, pulling an aircraft from her teeth, recycling paper after chewing it, chopping heads and much more, has 4000 shows in over 20 countries to her credit. In 1995 Kruti was featured in the Limca Book of Records as the youngest girl magician and in 2003 she again made her place in the Limca Book as a world-class artiste with more than 4000 magical effects and more than 2000 international magic shows.
Besides the regular shows, Kruti also conducts customised illusion based magic shows for corporate clients. “Recently, I did a customised magic show for Disney, which was full of entertainment,” shares Kruti, who holds an engineering degree in information technology. The funds she raises from her performances are donated to charitable organisations such as Feed The Babies fund, old age homes, and Sharda Mandir High School.
Kruti, India’s first test tube baby, has a long list of achievements. At the age of 14, she received the Global 500 Roll of Honor, an international award by the United Nations Environment Programme in Tokyo Japan. At the age of 17, the queen of Sweden selected her as a jury member for the children’s Nobel Prize in 2002. Currently, she is a lecturer at the D.J. Sanghvi College of Engineering and NMIMS University, Mumbai.
Few years ago Kruti also developed a unique presentation called ‘Yoga, mind power and beyond’. “This has involved research from the Bhagwad Geeta and the Upanishads. The special interactive, mind opening and practical based workshop, helps people go beyond the logical avenues of daily life and know the powers of the mind. The objective of the workshop is to help people to develop good concentration, get rid of phobias, set and achieve goals and rejuvenate themselves. With this workshop, I am trying to highlight the tremendous power of a trained mind that can move mountains,” informs Kruti, who has written a book called Beyond the Threshold of Mind.
In the end, it all boils down to precision of time. While talking about time management and multi tasking, Kruti says, "One has to be mentally strong and to be able to shift from one task to the other in short span of time and do that task with equal passion, energy and focus
