People gather outside the Kabuki-za theater in Tokyo’s Ginza district Friday to take a last look at the 60-year-old building, which closed the same day. The building will be demolished and replaced by a new high-rise commercial complex hosting a Kabuki theater and offices, scheduled to open in 2013.
