The Indira Gandhi National TribalUniversity, Amarkantak has been established by an Act of the Parliament of India. It came into existence by the Indira Gandhi National Tribal University Act, 2007 and came into action with the appointment of Prof. C. D. Singh as its first Vice-Chancellor on July 8th, 2008. The jurisdiction of the University extends to the whole country and it is fully funded by the Central Government through the University Grant Commission. The university caters to the tribals’ long cherished dream of higher education.The Non teaching post are given as under:

The university invites applications for the following posts on contract basis:-
1.) Project Engineer
Number of Posts: 01
Essential Qualifications and Experience:
B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering from a recognised university/Institution or Section “A and B” Examination (AMIE) of the Institute of Engineers (India) with an experience of at least 10 years as Asstt. Enggr. or as S.D.O. CPWD or state PWD or Autonomous undertaking and 5 yesars as Project Engineer in CPWD or state P.W.D. Preference will be given to candidates having sufficient experience in a Line for more than 5 years as Executive Engineer having Administrative Capacity.
2.) Assistant Engineer
Number of Posts: 02 (Civil-01,Electrical-01)
Essential Qualifications and Experience:
B.E.(Civil/Electrical) or equivalent recognised by AICTE in the respective field with 3 years experience as Junior Engineer or Diploma in Civil/Engineering with 5 years experience as Junior Engineer.
3.) Medical Officer
Number of Posts: 02 (Male-1,Female-1)
Essential Qualifications for Male and Female Officer:
MBBS
Desirable Qualification for Male and Female Officer:
M.D. or Diploma in Clinical Subjects or M.S in Obstetric Gynaecology or Diploma in Obstetric Gynaecology working experience as Junior Doctor in Public or Private Sector will be an added.
4.) Internal Auditor
Number of Posts: 01
Essential Qualifications and Experience:
A retired officer from Government Acctt./Audit Department
5.) Nurse
Number of Posts: 02
Essential Qualifications and Experience:
Higher Secondary Certificate (Science) and Certificate course in General Nursing.

Notes:
(1) The appointment will be made initially for 6 months and may be reappointed futher.
(2) Retired Persons may also apply for above posts except Nurse.
(3) Salary will be commensurate with qualification and experience.
(4) Other thing being equal, priority will be given to ST candidates.
(5) Qualification may be relaxed in the one of non-availability of suitable qualified candidates.
