President Pratibha Patil, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, Congress president Sonia Gandhi and other senior leaders paid tribute to former prime Rajiv Gandhi on his 66th birth anniversary at his memorial Veer Bhumi here Friday.Vice President Hamid Ansari was amongst the others who paid homage to Gandhi.
President Mrs. Pratibha Devisingh Patil, led the nation on Friday morning in paying floral tributes to the departed leader. Vice-President Mr. Hamid Ansari, Prime Minister, Dr. Manmohan Singh and UPA Chairperson Mrs. Sonia Gandhi were among other dignitaries who visited the Samadhi Sthal of Rajiv Gandhi at Veer Bhumi and paid tributes.
